Well, I'm done with treatments. I finished radiation on Tuesday and I got my Chemo pump off on Wednesday. I am a free woman. It feels great not to have to go to the doctor everyday. No more yucky medicine for now. My next step is to wait. I will eventually have surgery within the next couple of months. I hope all the cancer is gone and the surgery will go well. Please pray with me that God will take get rid of all the cancer cells. I know that He is in control of all, and He is able to heal.
Thanks for all your prayers, support and love during is difficult journey. It is true that I would not have come through this without all of you and especially without God. I hope to see you all soon.
Love and Kisses from all the Harts

Last Week
Well, I am finally on my last week of treatment. I had my chemo pump changed for the last time today. Next week I will get it off for good. I will be finished with my radiation on Tuesday. Praise God! I have to wait a few weeks and get surgery to remove the remainder of the tumor. Then the doctor's will decide if I still need anymore treatments. This has been my toughest week yet. I am very tired and my stomach and intestines are having trouble cooperating. I feel sick pretty much all the time. However, it is almost over and then I will be feeling better soon.
On the brighter side, I have been so thankful that my mom and dad are out here to help. They have been truly and blessing. Even though my mom got very sick when she first got here, she seems to be on the mend and pretty much back to the old routine. She still has a rash over part of her body, but it is much better. She has been a great help running the household and making sure we have dinner each night (along with PaPa's help). My dad has been great help, especially moving Sarah out of her house. Thanks MaMa and PaPa.
I hope everyone in your family is well. I hope to be up and around to enjoy life to the fullest very soon. Love to all.

On the home stretch
I went in today for my 3 hour appointment. They changed my chemo pump, and I am starting my fourth week. Thanks for the prayers concerning my low iron. My number was up a bit today. Everything is going well. I only have seven more radiation treatments. I'm still a bit tired and nauseated. I don't think that is going to change until all the treatments are over.
My God is a big God and I know that He has taken me through this time. It hasn't been easy, but the nurses have said that I am doing pretty well with all the treatments. I have tried to continue to stay as active as I can. Thanks for all your prayers and concern.

Interesting weekend
What a weekend! My mom and dad came out from Texas. They arrived on Friday and my mom was covered with a very serious rash all over her body. My dad took her directly to the emergency room on Friday morning. She has been in the hospital for 4 days already. She seems to be doing better, but still has the rash all over. She is hoping that the doctor's will let her out tomorrow.
Also, Lindsay hurt her arm at a school roller skating party last Thursday. She ended up having a broken wrist. Her dad took her to the doctor today and they put on a purple cast. That's the end of swimming for a while. What a way to start the summer!
I am doing O.K. I am still feeling about the same. I'm tired and a bit nauseated everyday. I just try to eat things that are easier on my stomach.
Thanks for all your prayers. I am a bit past the halfway point. It's all downhill from here.

Prayer request
I'm coming along. I am beginning week three of my treatment. Everything seems to be going along according to schedule. Yesterday I had my weekly blood test before they put on my chemo pump. My red blood cell count is down a bit. If it gets too low it can become a concern. I have started to take iron tablets. Hopefully that will help the number stay in the normal range. Please pray that the number won't go too low so that I can continue treatment and stay on schedule.
I have also had some tough times in the evenings. I get nauseated some days, and really don't feel too great. Thanks for all your concern and prayers. It has been a challenge but I can also feel the presence of God each day. I know that hope and faith God will guide me through this.

It is Memorial Day Weekend. Sarah came down with her new puppy to visit. It was nice to have her here. Her new puppy is energetic, but cute.
I am doing about the same. I am still a bit tired and nauseated at times. I think it will be like this until the treatment is over. Thanks for all your prayers and concern. With God and my friends and family I will make it.

Keep praying
Things seem to be going along well. I saw the doctor yesterday and he said that everything seems to be going as they expected. So far the chemo hasn't been too bad. I am a bit more tired during the day and I do get some nausea. However, God is good. I have been able to sleep better at night now that I have recovered from all the surgeries. I love you all and I am so blessed to have family and friends caring for and praying for me and my family.

Hanging on
Well I am finally feeling better from my last surgery when they placed a new portacath in. I'm continuing with my radiation and my chemopump seems to be working just fine. I'm feeling pretty good, but I get tired. Thanks for all your prayers. Please continue to pray for the doctor's wisdom and for the treatment to work and that the cancer will be all gone. I love you all and I will try to keep this site updated every few days.

Hello to all my friends and family:
It has been an interesting ride. I was diagnosed with Colorectal cancer on April 21, 2010. I have finally started my radiation and chemo. We had some trouble with my portacath. It was all bent and twisted and when they set up the chemo pump, the chemo medicine backed up and came right back out. They had to install another portacath last Thursday. It is working fine. I have my chemo pump hooked up to it and it doesn't leak. Praise God!!! Right now I have 2 portacaths. They will remove one eventually.
So far I have felt O.K. with the treatments. I am a bit nauseated and tired. It' s hard to sleep with a chemo pump on me at all times. They said that I may start to feel more tired and sick as the chemo medicine builds up in my system. Please pray that I will not get too sick.
Thanks for all your prayers, cards, flowers, gifts, phone calls, food and love. It has been a great encouragement to me and my family. I know it will be a difficult next few months, but with all of you and God on my side, I will make it.
Love you all!!!!
